100 DaysThe First 100 Days: Milwaukee Public Schools Report

On July 1, 2010, Gregory E. Thornton, Ed.D., took the oath as Superintendent of Milwaukee Public Schools, saying, “Let’s go to work!” That invitation quickly became a mantra for representatives of the MPS administration, who aligned their work to three clear goals:

1. Student achievement
2. Effective and efficient operations
3. Student and family support

The First 100 Days is a list of the work that has been accomplished to date, and the “next step”- activities that are planned or underway.
